  • Budgens stores can be leasehold or freehold and are ideally between 1,000 to 6,000 square feet

  • The format is highly flexible and trades in neighbourhood centres, forecourts, suburban shopping parades and town or village locations

  • The format works best in busy local communities in reasonably affluent areas

  • The site must have sufficient car parking, good visibility and access

Before you open

We normally follow these steps, supporting you throughout the entire process.

  • Find the location

    Give us your proposed location.

  • Initial visit

    We'll visit the location to assess the store's fit with the Budgens brand.

  • Store Layout

    We work together to develop a store plan and can project manage your refit if you would like us to.

  • Range and Merchandising

    We provide full merchandising plans and support throughout your conversion.

  • Training

    We'll provide training throughout the set up, and the Regional Development Manager will provide ongoing support.

  • Fresh Food

    Our Fresh Food Advisers will help with all aspects of managing fresh food. Retailers with limited fresh food experience find this especially helpful.
