A partnership with budgens: the facts

1.We do not charge membership fees. The basis of our partnership is that you have a Budgens branded store. We would expect you to buy 95% of your stock from our warehouse and our 100 centrally billed suppliers. We do think however it's essential for you to stock local produce in your store.

2.To become a Budgens retailer, your store will need to meet the Budgens brand standards and image - the costs of this vary dependent on your current scenario. We do not finance any re-fitting required but will support your application for funding with our nominated banking partners. We pay for the fascia and window graphics as part of the package.

3.A ball park cost for fitting out an empty unit would be £70-£80 per square foot for a 3000 sq ft store.

This estimate is based on an average of our latest re-fits and includes flooring, electrical works, ceiling, low energy specification lighting, ECA approved refrigeration unit and engineering, shelving, carpentry, joinery, labour, misc clearance, minor build (stud partition).

4.You would order from us daily and have deliveries up to 6 days per week dependent on your store - regular deliveries are key to the fresh offer within Budgens.

5.We work closely with you to help decide if Budgens is the right brand both for you, and the location. Once you have opened your store, we will continue to work with you to ensure your store is a success and support you to achieve long term growth and profitability.
